Todd Nesbitt, Ph.D. is Director of European Programs for Empire State University. Before taking on the position in November of 2024, he worked as a mentor for students in Empire State University’s undergraduate program in Prague and served as Dean of the School of Communication and Media at the University of New York in Prague. Most recently, in addition to managing the Communication and Media, Digital Media Arts, and English Literature programs, he directed strategic initiatives in institutional research as Dean of Research and Development for UNYP. An engaged scholar, Dr. Nesbitt is an active contributor within the European communication and media community in the area of media and democracy. Dr. Nesbitt holds degrees in Communication and Media studies from the University of Windsor (Canada) and Charles University. He an expert evaluator for Reporters Without Borders and a reviewer of media studies research projects for the Czech Science Foundation.
