Georgios Th. Papadopoulos IEEE) received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Thessaloniki, Greece. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Foundation for Research and Technology–Hellas/Institute of Computer Science (FORTH/ICS) and the Centre for Research and Technology–Hellas/Information Technologies Institute (CERTH/ITI). He is currently an Assistant Professor of computer graphics and computational vision with the Department of Informatics and Telematics, Harokopio University of Athens, Greece. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine/deep learning, human action recognition, human-computer interaction, and explainable artificial intelligence. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
Ο Γεώργιος Θ. Παπαδόπουλος (IEEE) έλαβε το Δίπλωμα και το Διδακτορικό τίτλο σπουδών από το Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών από το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ). Ήταν Μεταδιδακτορικός Ερευνητής στο Ίδρυμα Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας/Ινστιτούτο Πληροφορικής (ΙΤΕ/ΙΠ) και στο Εθνκό Κέντρο Έρευνας και Τεχνολογικής Ανάπτυξης/Ινστιτούτο Τεχνολογιών Πληροφορικής και Επικοινωνιών(ΕΚΕΤΑ/ΙΠΤΗΛ). Επί του παρόντος, είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής στο Τμήμα Πληροφορικής και Τηλεματικής του Χαροκόπειου Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών με αντικείμενο τη Γραφική Υπολογιστών και Υπολογιστική Όραση. Έχει δημοσιεύσει πάνω από 100 ερευνητικές εργασίες με κριτές σε διεθνή περιοδικά και πρακτικά συνεδρίων. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν την υπολογιστική όραση, την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, τη μηχανική/βαθιά μάθηση, την αναγνώριση ανθρώπινων κινήσεων, την αλληλεπίδραση ανθρώπου-υπολογιστή και την εξηγήσιμη τεχνητή νοημοσύνη. Είναι μέλος του Τεχνικού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδας.
