Panagiotis Rizomiliotis received the B.Sc. degree in Informatics and Telecommunications in 1997, the M.Sc. degree in Electronics and Radio Engineering in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in Cryptography in 2005, all from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. From 2005 to 2007, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with KU Leuven, Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT), and the COSIC Research Group. From 2007 to 2011, he served as a Visiting Lecturer with the University of the Aegean, Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, while from 2009 to 2012 he was also a Visiting Lecturer (Presidential Decree 407/80) with the Harokopio University of Athens, Department of Informatics and Telematics. From 2012 to 2018, he was an Assistant Professor with the University of the Aegean and concurrently served as an Adjunct Professor with the Harokopio University of Athens. From 2018 to 2023, he was an Assistant Professor with the Harokopio University of Athens, where he has been an Associate Professor since 2023. He has also been serving as an Adjunct Professor with the University of Piraeus since 2012 and with the University of West Attica since 2019, and as an Adjunct Professor with the International Hellenic University during 2015–2016. From 2009 to 2011, he served as a Special Advisor to the Ministry of Administrative Reform and e-Governance. From 2012 to 2019, he was a Member of the Plenary of the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy (ADAE). Since 2019, he has been an External Expert Collaborator with the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA). His research interests include cryptography, cybersecurity, privacy, and the security of information and communication systems.
O Παναγιώτης Ριζομυλιώτης έλαβε το Πτυχίο στην Πληροφορική και Τηλεπικοινωνίες το 1997, το Μεταπτυχιακό Δίπλωμα Ειδίκευσης στην Ηλεκτρονική και Ραδιοηλεκτρολογία το 1999 και το Διδακτορικό Δίπλωμα στην Κρυπτογραφία το 2005, όλα από το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Από το 2005 έως το 2007 διετέλεσε μεταδιδακτορικός ερευνητής στο KU Leuven, στο Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών (ESAT) και στην ερευνητική ομάδα COSIC Research Group. Κατά την περίοδο 2007–2011 υπηρέτησε ως επισκέπτης καθηγητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου, ενώ από το 2009 έως το 2012 διετέλεσε επισκέπτης καθηγητής (Π.Δ. 407/80) στο Χαροκόπειο Πανεπιστήμιο. Από το 2012 έως το 2018 υπηρέτησε ως επίκουρος καθηγητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου και παράλληλα ως συνεργαζόμενος καθηγητής στο Χαροκόπειο Πανεπιστήμιο. Από το 2018 έως το 2023 διετέλεσε επίκουρος καθηγητής στο Χαροκόπειο Πανεπιστήμιο, όπου από το 2023 κατέχει τη θέση του αναπληρωτή καθηγητή. Παράλληλα, από το 2012 είναι συνεργαζόμενος καθηγητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς, από το 2019 στο Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Αττικής, ενώ διετέλεσε συνεργαζόμενος καθηγητής στο Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο της Ελλάδος την περίοδο 2015–2016. Από το 2009 έως το 2011 υπηρέτησε ως ειδικός σύμβουλος στο Υπουργείο Διοικητικής Μεταρρύθμισης και Ηλεκτρονικής Διακυβέρνησης, ενώ από το 2012 έως το 2019 ήταν μέλος της ολομέλειας της Αρχή Διασφάλισης Απορρήτου των Επικοινωνιών (ΑΔΑΕ). Από το 2019 είναι εξωτερικός εμπειρογνώμονας στον Οργανισμό της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης για την Κυβερνοασφάλεια (ENISA). Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα επικεντρώνονται στην κρυπτογραφία, την κυβερνοασφάλεια, την προστασία ιδιωτικότητας και την ασφάλεια πληροφοριακών και επικοινωνιακών συστημάτων.
